Joining Aikido Shimbokukai

Dojo or individuals who are interested in joining the Aikido Shimbokukai are welcomed, and registrations are accepted at any time during the year. The main purpose of the Aikido Shimbokukai is to support and empower its members, as well as to support Hombu Dojo, the Ueshiba family, and the Aikikai, by maintaining certain standards of training. Though each member dojo maintains its own individual culture and management, we want to ensure that members and member dojo hold similar values and respect toward each other and toward others in the larger Aikido community.

For individuals who wish to join, there are two categories of membership:
1. Regular Member - Any person who who is qualified as specified above (Annual dues US$65).
2. Supporting Member – Any person who wishes to support Aikido Shimbokukai while maintaining their membership, testing, and ranking privileges in another Aikikai organization (Annual dues US$40).
