Please join us for this one day hybrid format seminar! The seminar will be offered in-person from various locations as well as live streamed. The instruction provided will be for both paired practice and solo practice, so no matter the situation everyone can train! The seminar will run from 10:00 am-5:30 pm Mountain Time.

Participate with your dojo mates from your dojo. For those who can gather and train together, please plan to attend the seminar from your dojo! Set up a computer, stream the event, and train!
Participate on your own from your home, or any location of your choice. Can't get to your dojo and train with others? That's OK! Instruction for solo participants as well as paired will be offered.

Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan, 7 Dan, Boulder Aikikai, Colorado, USA
Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan began Aikido at Kokugakuin University Aikido Club, of which Mitsugi Saotome Shihan was the chief instructor. After graduation he trained regularly at Aikido World Headquarters and in Saotome Shihan’s Reimeijuku Dojo in Tokyo. He established Boulder Aikikai in 1980 for the study of the Japanese martial art of Aikido.The dojo is affiliated with the Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, through the Aikido Shimbokukai. Ikeda Shihan is well-known for his effective technique, and travels extensively around the world teaching. He is a member of the Grading Committee and Vice-President of Aikido Shimbokukai.
Lisa Tomoleoni Shihan, 6 Dan, Aikido Shimbokukai Director
Lisa Tomoleoni Shihan holds the rank of Roku Dan (6th dan), received from Moriteru Ueshiba, Aikido Doshu. She spent over 14 years in Japan training at the Aikido World Headquarters and teaching Aikido professionally at a dojo in Tokyo. Tomoleoni Shihan is Director of Aikido Shimbokukai, an organization Officially Recognized by the Aikikai Foundation and Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. She also has yudansha ranking in Judo and Iaido and is a coauthor of the book "Along the Way", a collection of writings about training.
Lee Crawford Sensei, 6 Dan, Aikido Northshore, ASU
Lee Crawford Sensei, 6th Dan, is Chief Instructor at Aikido Northshore. Crawford Sensei began her Aikido training in 1980 under the direction of Akira Tohei Shihan at the University of Wisconsin Aikido Club. After relocating to Seattle in 1988, she became the Assistant Chief Instructor for George Ledyard Sensei at Aikido Eastside in Bellevue, WA. In 1995 Crawford Sensei opened Aikido Northshore in Kirkland, WA.In 2014 Crawford Sensei was awarded the Ueshiba Juku designation by Saotome Shihan.
Steve Fasen Sensei, 6 Dan, Shindai Dojo, ASU
Steve Fasen Sensei (6th dan) trains as a senior Yudansha in the ASU. He has been training Martial Arts since 1980 starting in JKA Shotokan Karate. Starting Aikido training in 1988 to the present, he was promoted to Aikido (6th dan) Rokudan in 2018. Fasen Sensei also bears Saotome Sensei’s Ueshiba Juku designation, presented in 2012. He serves as the Chief Instructor of Shindai Dojo in Orlando, Florida.
Josh Gold Sensei, 5 Dan, Ikazuchi Dojo, Aikido Doshinokai
Josh Gold is Executive Editor of Aikido Journal, the world’s leading Aikido media publication with a 46-year history, and CEO and co-founder of Budo Accelerator, a new nonprofit with a mission to elevate youth and forge a new generation of leaders through Aikido-based programs that reach teens and young adults across North America. Josh is also Chief Instructor of Ikazuchi Dojo. He has over 30 years Aikido experience and cross trains in Kali and Brazilian Jiujitsu. Josh is a notable speaker on the martial art of aikido, having led presentations and discussions for Fortune 500 companies and at premier events and idea festivals like Summit LA19.
Janice Taitel Sensei, 4 Dan, Aikido Center of Dover, Shin Kaze Aikido Alliance
Janice Taitel is chief instructor of the Aikido Center of Dover, which she founded in 2009, and is a member of the Shin Kaze Aikido Alliance. She began training in Aikido in 1992 and continues to train and learn from a wide range of instructors. She is a pediatrician and considers Aikido to be part of her healing practice, and she developed the B.E.A.T. (Being Empowered After Trauma) program for survivors of abuse and other trauma.
